While working as a summer counselor, you will gain:

First Aid/CPR training and certification
We will provide a thorough orientation, counselor training, and CPR/First Aid certification classes before camp starts. A free lunch is provided every day of orientation and camp.
When camp starts, you will be ready to:
· Greet and orient your campers each day.
· Lead and get to know your group of campers as they make friends, try new things, participate, build relationships and have fun.
· Work in tandem and cooperation with other counselors and the Camp Director.
· Help provide a safe physical and emotional space for each camper.
· Lead your campers in recreational sports, games, arts, reading, crafts, enrichment and similar activities while keeping participants safe and displaying advanced leadership abilities.
You need to be:
· An enthusiastic, driven and responsible recent high school graduate or college student with outstanding communication skills who enjoy working with youth of various ages.
· Able to pass a Livescan background check.
· A role model for campers in your behavior and attitude.
· A good representative of the camp in all of your interactions with parents and community.
· Able to physically meet the demands of the position, which may include being on one’s feet for four to six hours, walking, running, bending, stooping, sitting and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $17.80 and $22.50 per year.
