Cashier/Sales Associate

We are seeking a friendly and efficient cashier to join our team at the local market. As a cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and providing excellent customer service to all patrons. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Ring up purchases and process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with bagging groceries and providing customer assistance as needed
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service
- Keep track of inventory and communicate any stock shortages to management
- Assist with maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the market
- Provide friendly and helpful service to all customers and answer any questions they may have

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cash handling experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and positive attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach

• Evening shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
