Cashier / Accounting Assistant
The Cashier/Accounting Assistant is a position that requires general clerical skills, including heavy customer service experience and knowledge of general office support. Accounts receivable knowledge is a plus! The individual who fills this role will need to enjoy (not just tolerate) multitasking and interacting with people, and thrive in an office environment that is fast paced and full of interruptions. A successful person in this role flourishes on providing support to others. The schedule will be Monday through Friday and hours can range from 7am-5pm. Generally, the Cashier/Accounting Assistant will operate on a daily basis by:
- Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Skillfully handling a multi-line phone and assisting customers with cashiering
- Cross-training accounts receivable functions, including:
- Accurately managing daily transactions and assisting the accounts receivable function by gathering and providing necessary details
- Working closely with the accounting team and other departments to facilitate processing receivables and payables in an accurate and timely manner
- Cross train with co-workers to help provide seamless customer service:
- Sharing knowledge and experience with other team members, as well as obtain working experience in accounts payables or receivables, as deemed appropriate
- Helpfully assist other team members in as many ways as possible, often with little notice
- Completing other accounting duties as needed
