Job Summary
The Cashier/Dispatcher is responsible for accurately processing customer payments for parking fees, dispatching drivers to the Clarion Hotel and the Philadelphia International Airport in a timely manner and answering incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
- Collect payment for parking services and accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in compliance with cash handling and accounting procedures.
- Answer phone in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Maintain constant radio contact with shuttle drivers to ensure proper rotation and direct them in their pick-up and drop-off locations.
- Count bank at end of shift to ensure proper reconciliation, complete necessary documentation, resolve any discrepancies, and secure bank in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolve customer complaints, elevating to supervisor if needed.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other shifts and departments.
- Monitor safety and security of parking lot and report an issues or concerns to management.
- Assist customers with any questions, complaints and/or concerns in a courteous manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties/tasks as assigned by management.
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to give instructions clearly.
- Basic math or accounting skills.
- Ability to problem solve to effectively deal with customers.
- Ability to multitask, detail oriented and comfortable with high call volume.
- Must have computer skills to operate various property management and reservation systems.
- Must be comfortable working in an enclosed ticket booth.
- Must be able to work with others, communicate well and receive direction when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity required.
- Ability to work flexible shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous cash handling experience
- Previous dispatch experience a plus.
