Cashier - Japanese Rice Ball Concept (Farmers Market)
Job Overview:We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier at our Japanese rice ball concept operating at local farmers markets (South Pasadena, DTLA). The ideal candidate will have a passion for being in front of guest (hospitality), excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and vibrant environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude.
Assist customers in making menu choices and provide information about our Japanese rice ball offerings.
Order Processing: Efficiently and accurately process customer orders using our point-of-sale system. Handle cash transactions and provide correct change.
Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of our menu items, including ingredients and allergen information. Make recommendations based on customer preferences.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the FOH area clean and organized. Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness of the booth.
Assist with Set-Up and Breakdown: Assist in setting up the booth before the farmers market opens. Contribute to the breakdown and cleanup at the end of the market day.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with your team members to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with team members to enhance overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred but will train.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends.
