We are looking for an fun and energetic applicant to fill a vacant spot as a Crew Member and contribute to the overall excellence of our restaurant. Wage will depend on experience.
Responsibilities of a Crew Member:
- Be an ambassador of the Dairy Queen brand and be professional in every aspect of performance
- Strive to exceed fan expectations and deliver fan first service through timely and quality service
- Quickly and accurately take orders, prepare orders and products following restaurant, health, and safety standards
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for fans and team members
- Checking the quality of the ingredients.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Answer fan questions about product ingredients and preparation
- Be a team player and maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and fellow team members
- May be required to meet requirements of all other staff positions.

- Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to follow directions and established procedures.
- Communicate positively with fans and co-workers constantly during shifts
- Effective time management and organization skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Have fun and maintain a positive attitude at all times!
Dairy Queen of Detroit Lakes is a locally owned, family owned, franchise. Opened in 1949, 72 years ago, it is one of the longest continually operated businesses in Detroit Lakes. The Dairy Queen Grill and Chill, located in McKinley Plaza, Dairy Queens third location in Detroit Lakes, opened in September of 2016. The Kensinger family has owned and operated Detroit Lakes Dairy Queens for the past 29 years.
Our mission is to provide fast, friendly service to all our DQ fans. To give our Fans the highest quality DQ treat and food experience possible. “We treat you right!” is an old Dairy Queen slogan, but one that we take seriously.
Dairy Queen supports many employee endorsed causes, such as local school activities, church groups, service club activities, animal shelters, and environmental groups. We believe in helping our community, with our priority going to causes in which, our employees and managers are a part of.
