Purpose of Job: Performs clerical accounting functions pertaining to Cash Applications to customer balances, invoicing, filing, organizing, and other related functions.
Job Duties:
- Applies accounts receivable cash receipts to customer accounts.
- Analyzes check remittance details to determine proper application of payments.
- Interacts with Accounts Receivable Specialist to facilitate application of cash receipts.
- Contacts accounts receivable customers via telephone as required in order to apply cash receipts.
- Files the completed batches of cash receipts.
- Prepares filed cash receipts batched for off-site storage.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience applying cash receipts to customer accounts.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles is required.
- Must have excellent data-entry and analytical skills.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and strong basic math skills are required.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
