Cash Application Specialist

Jon Purpose:

We are seeking a Cash Applications Specialist to join our team. The primary focus of this position will be to process customer payments and record updated balances and deposits. Your role will involve analyzing financial data, assisting with journal entries, and ensuring compliance with financial concepts and regulations.

Key Job Responsibilities:

· Process customer cash, checks, and electronic payments

· Identify and allocate all payments and ensure that all cash is posted and distributed

· Responsible for processing electronic and manual remittance transactions

· Research and Reconcile discrepancies and account claims

· Maintain proper communication with customers and Collectors

· Apply and post customer payments to proper accounts

· Maintain excel reports

· Answer inquiries both internal and external regarding payments and balances

· Reconcile daily cash balance

· Assist with Accounts receivables

· Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

· Basic skills in excel, word, and PowerPoint

· Strong attention to detail and deadline-oriented

· 10-key by touch, data entry, and research experience required

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Excellent customer service skills

· Team Player

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:

To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to sit at a computer for long periods of time. The occasional heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
