Cash Application Specialist (Flexibility To Work Remote 60% After 90 Days)

The Cash Application Specialist posts cash from multiple sources including the lockbox, bank and branches on a daily basis, into the ERP system. He/she also resolves any issues with customer payments and works with the Collections group as needed.

Work Location: In Office FT for 90 days, then flexibility to work hybrid

Pay: $21-25/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Posting payments to customer accounts and branch customers in the organization’s ERP system (Karmak Fusion).
  
  • Review, correct and process cash logs prepared at the branch locations.
  • Post cash from the lockbox, ACH and bank to appropriate customer accounts.
  • Review, propose, and post customer and warranty refund requests.
  • Administer and process programs associated with collecting customer payments, credit cards, third party providers, collection agencies, etc.
• Interact effectively and courteously with internal and external customers.
  
  • Answer questions pertaining to a customer’s purchase history.
  • Assist Commercial Collection Specialists to research/resolve over and short payments and unapplied cash.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent required, Associate’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting related role.
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
• Basic Windows and Google Suite or Microsoft Office computer skills required.
• Superior data entry and 10-key skills required, Must be able to balance speed and accuracy.
• Dependable and reliable attendance required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
