Ohio K-12 Intervention Specialist license
Preferred Qualifications:
• Evidence of writing standards-based IEP goals
• Served students with special needs at multi-levels
• Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with students, staff,
parents and colleagues
• Possess exceptional communication, data analysis, interpersonal and organizational
skills
• Able to use technology, such as email and word processing as needed to perform
stated responsibilities
Recommended Program Experience:
• Filemaker IEP/ETR program format
• Experience in using ODE Annotated Guide to write IEPs
Professional Responsibilities:
• Develop individual education plans and ensure that the plans are implemented in all
school settings.
• Monitor plans to ensure program compliance; that required timelines are observed; that
direct services, accommodations, modifications and other services indicated on the plans
are being implemented in all school settings; and that students are benefiting from
services provided.
• Communicate with principal on IEP compliance issues; with general educators on services
and accommodations.
• Confirm and ensure therapy schedules and goals and work with nurse for health care
management plan.
• Maintain regular contact with parents and staff.
• Facilitate transfers with in-district students and new students from outside district.
• Schedule/Facilitate IEP meetings following required procedures.
• Keep systematic data on progress monitoring of IEP goals.
• Participate in building special education team meetings, when appropriate, to
facilitate ongoing and open communication with all team members regarding ongoing
and upcoming needs related to evaluations and IEPs.
• Any other responsibilities as determined by the district.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with the credentials and experience of the candidate,per current district contract. 7 hours a day for 186 days at a rate of $22.12 per hour plus 10% for indirect services for a total of $24.33 per hour.
