Cart Attendant/ Range Monitor

DEPARTMENT: Outside Services JOB TITLE:Cart Attendant/ Range Personnel

REPORTS TO: Outside Services Manager

JOB TYPE: Hourly/Non-Exempt

BASIC FUNCTION: Provide bag and range services to members and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Brings golf carts from shelter to car staging area outside Golf Pro Shop, checks golf carts for tire pressure, brake operation, and other safety considerations.
• Load bags from bag storage onto golf carts.
• Transports range balls to each end of the range and fills appropriate containers.
• Places baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on the range.
• Operates tractor and ball picker on the range to retrieve balls.
• Washes all range balls daily.
• Removes bags from golf carts and returns bags to assigned rack in the bag storage room.
• Returns golf carts to car shelter; removes towels, pencils, scorecards, tees, drink cans, etc., from golf carts and saves reusable items.
• Checks carts for damage; washes golf carts with pressure cleaner; parks car in the shelter and connects charger cable.
• Advises Pro Shop of clubs found on the course and destined for the lost and found.
• Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club’s rental equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in the bag storage room.
• Performs other duties as assigned by OS Manager and Assistant Manager.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment that is typical of this position.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
• Frequent repetitive motions.
• Continuous standing and walking

LICENSES & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license.
