We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Carpet Cleaning Technician Assistant to join our team. As a Carpet Cleaning Technician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional Carpet Cleaning services to our clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in delivering high-quality results.
```Duties```
- Perform Carpet Cleaning services using professional equipment and techniques
- Inspect carpets for stains, damage, or other issues
- Pre-treat carpets with cleaning solutions to remove dirt and stains
- Use Carpet Cleaning machines to deep clean carpets and remove dirt, allergens, and odors
- Safely move furniture and other items as needed to access all areas of the carpet
- Apply protective treatments to carpets to prevent future staining or damage
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work area
-Assistant to myself, Scott, in the field with learning many different facets to carpet & upholstery cleaning
-Driving to and from jobs (anywhere within 75 miles of Denver Metro)
-Proper vacuuming of carpets/upholstery
-Cleaning carpets, upholstery, and area rugs
-Learn & understand what is called the maintenance plan which is your gateway to success in the business and key to getting upsells which yield better earnings
-Learn to provide complete, diligent, and thorough client experiences
```Qualifications```
-Experience is not necessarily required, I am really looking for more of a type (I had no experience when I started 5 years ago with sales or Carpet Cleaning, and have now turned it into what it is becoming)
-That being said, Carpet Cleaning experience and/or sales is experience is welcomed
-Faceted in any of the following social media, marketing, advertising, and/or lead generation is a plus
-Customer service experience is a plus (good with people)
-Must be able to lift and carry 100 lbs. comfortably [the first part of the interview is going to be a 75 yard carry of the buffer (machine used for cleaning carpet), this has to be done with a fair amount of control and comfort as lifting & carrying the machine is a large part of the job, if you can’t do this, I respectfully ask that you do not waste my time because it is a necessity for the job and we must take care in and around our clients' homes.
-Drug test required (personal safety and client safety is big in this job)
-Background check required
-Must have clean driving record/valid driver’s license (meaning no major violations or ample)
-Must be legal to work in US
-Being coachable/trainable
-Willingness to learn and the desire to get better
-Positive attitude about work and being grateful to work
-Must be willing to work more than 40 hrs a week (most likely in summer where we will be slammed), and open to work Monday to Saturday, Sundays off, and for holidays, will be off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and maybe some others.
-Must be able to do simple math (sales part of this job, you will at times be reworking numbers to win upsells & earn better wages)
-Goal Oriented (someone who is driven towards success)
- Previous experience in floor care, custodial, commercial cleaning, or related field is preferred, but not necessary, (I didn’t have any when I started 6 years ago)
- Knowledge of different carpet types and appropriate cleaning methods is helpful
- Familiarity with Carpet Cleaning equipment and techniques
- Ability to and be comfortable lifting heavy equipment and move furniture as needed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills to interact with clients in a professional manner
Will Need:
-New work boots, preferably a good pair of hiking boots (that will be used only for cleaning and while at work)
-Black work pants,
-Company Shirt Size (company will provide)
-Cell Phone to access CRM for processing payments
-$100 for drug test, background check, and driving history (this will be reimbursed to you the moment everything comes back okay; this is to filter out candidates who are not taking the position seriously. Reimbursements will not be made to any who produce faulty tests. Again, please don’t waste my time and your money if you know you are going to fail one of these.
The pay will go:
-$12/hr plus tips while assisting me and learning the job (raise in tip percentage after 1st 30 days, 25% to 50%). Wage goes to $15/hr plus bonus & 100% tips when cleaning on your own, tips can be $300-$1000+++ per week when busy ($50+/hr potential; it is a performance based position so it really depends on how quality of work you can do with the cleaning, the experience you provide the client, and how well you learn to upsell. There is a 100k potential with the incentive-based pay scale once you are cleaning on your own and the goal is to have you on the road with your own cleaning route ASAP)

Back Story & How It Looks For The Candidate:
Hello to any and all future candidates for the Technician Assistant for Spanking Clean and Green (soon to be just Spanking Clean). My name is Scott and I am the owner of my growing company. We are a natural, non toxic, and green, carpet and upholstery cleaning service for the Denver Metro and surrounding areas. The person who wins the position offer is coming into the company at one of the most opportune times to join a company, during a phase of growth and opportunity to become my number 2 in the company. The last 5 years, I have been working 6 days a week mostly and trying to earn my way through the Carpet Cleaning industry. It has come to that point in the life of this business where I can no longer do it all on my own and a team needs to begin to be built and that is where you out there come in. I am searching for the right candidate to come in and learn & train to be my right hand in the company. If you are capable of learning the process and can recreate what I do out in the field all while having a good attitude about it, then the road to success will be quite easily attained (outside of the physical work required for this job of course). How I have the pay worked out for once you are a full time Carpet Cleaning Technician, driving one of the company vehicles and cleaning on your own, is all performance based with $100k capability once you operate & complete a full route in a sufficient & timely manner.
As you go through training though, you are going to be with me as an assistant for the first 30-90 days. Ideally, after a month of being together, there will be some days where you are going out on your own too. I really am looking for someone who can learn quicker than slower however because even right now, I can only accept so many jobs and the company is missing out on other business with not using all my current potential in finding leads and it only will get busier the closer summer gets. So the sooner you are trained and I become comfortable in your ability about going on your own, the sooner your wages will go up, potential for upsell bonus is locked in and you will get 100% of the tips which can be very lucrative in this business if you do solid work and provide better-than-most client experience.
So again, the plan is to have the candidate who is offered the position, on their own for at least parts of the busy summer this year in 2024. Last year, the company lost out on a ton of business not being prepared and having a second guy on the road so I am looking to avoid that this year and for the future of the business. I have other things in play to drive more business to Spanking Clean in the future so the more jobs we run, the bigger our database becomes of past clients we can market to and lock them in as loyal patrons to the company.
