Carpenter Helper/Laborer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Helper to join our team. As a Carpenter Helper, you will assist in various carpentry tasks and support our team of experienced carpenters. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

1. Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood or other construction materials according to specifications.

2. Prepare and set up tools, equipment, and materials needed for each task.

3. Carry out general labor duties such as lifting heavy materials, moving equipment, and cleaning the work area.

4. Operate power tools and equipment under the guidance of a carpenter, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.

5. Assist in installing and repairing structures, fixtures, and drywall including doors, windows, cabinets, and trim.

6. Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available.

7. Follow instructions from the carpenter, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements and cuts.

8. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Skills:

1. Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.

2. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods.

Required Qualifications

5. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.

6. Willingness to work in various weather conditions and potentially at different locations.

7. Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
