Responsibilities: - Assist carpenters in performing various tasks related to construction and carpentry work - Prepare and set up tools, equipment, and materials needed for the job - Assist in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials according to specifications - Help with the installation of flooring, doors, windows, and other fixtures - Assist in assembling and disassembling structures and furniture - Aid in the repair and restoration of damaged structures - Clean and maintain work areas and tools Skills: - Mold remediation: Knowledge of techniques and procedures for removing mold from surfaces - Stucco: Experience working with stucco materials and applying them to surfaces - Flooring installation: Ability to install various types of flooring materials such as hardwood, laminate, or tile - Fabricate: Skill in creating or constructing components or structures from raw materials - Blueprint reading: Proficiency in interpreting and understanding construction blueprints and plans - Door hanging: Experience in properly installing doors, including framing, hinges, and hardware - Caulking: Knowledge of caulking techniques to seal gaps or joints in construction materials - Assemble: Ability to put together components or parts to form a complete structure or product - Masonry: Basic understanding of masonry work, including bricklaying or concrete work - Restoration industry: Familiarity with restoration practices and techniques for repairing damaged structures Note: This is a general job description for a Carpenter Helper position.
