As part of the MRM team, the successful candidate will be results centric adding to our already ambitious yet exciting working environment supporting our mining operations. The ideal candidate will possess a background using Acquire and Leapfrog mining software.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ore/waste routing throughout the mine
- Ability to map in an open pit environment utilizing Deswik digital mapping.
- Daily data entry and tracking of production samples for accurate ore/waste routing
- Support diamond and RC drilling activities through drill and drill station inspections, validating TD’s, surveys, collars, etc.
- Geological and geotechnical logging of diamond core
- Compile and interpret mapping and assay information in 3-D software and correlate it with existing models
- Supervise sample collection for accuracy and consistency, timely delivery to lab
- Prepare weekly reports as required; assist with weekly and monthly reconciliation for model performance and impacts to grade
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required
- Excellent safety record required
- Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
- Previous mining experience preferred
- Familiarity with logging diamond core and RC chips preferred
- Familiarity with Deswik, Leapfrog, and Acquire software preferred
- Able to collect and carry samples up to 20lbs
