Caregiver/Shower Aid

MUST BE LIVING IN EUGENE/SPRINGFIELD OREGON AREA TO APPLY!

Shift time: 11am - 7pm

• Assist residents with their showering and personal grooming routines while respecting their privacy and dignity.

• Provide physical and emotional support to residents during the showering process.

• Monitor water temperature and adjust as needed to prevent scalding or discomfort.

• Help residents with mobility and transfers to and from the shower area, utilizing appropriate equipment.

• Maintain a clean and organized shower area, ensuring all supplies are readily available.

• Communicate any changes in a resident’s condition or behavior to the nursing team.

• Follow infection control procedures and maintain a hygienic and sanitary environment.

• Assist with dressing and grooming, including hair care and oral hygiene, if necessary.

• Encourage and engage residents in conversation, providing companionship and emotional support.

• Document and report any incidents, changes, or concerns related to resident care.

• Attend staff meetings, training, and in-service education programs as required.

• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Requirements for the position:

Ability to multi-task

Ability to read, write and speak English

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Must pass Criminal Background Check

Ability to work weekends and flexible schedule

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
