Caregivers or Homecare Aides

Urgently hiring for a great client in Somersworth NH! This client needs assistance Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for 11 hours a week. She is a veteran and needs assistance with meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments and to run errands. Very minimum personal care is required. What You’ll Do:

• Caregivers provide personal care for their clients. - This could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, and shaving.
• You don’t have to be a gourmet chef, but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.
• Provide Companionship to your client / create a trusting bond with them.
• Play games and engage with your client
• Provide assistance with everyday living tasks
• Light Housekeeping - mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dishes, taking out the garbage
• Caregivers may run errands for client and/or provide transportation to clients if they have appointments, need to do some grocery shopping, or even if they want to go for a drive. Don't worry - we pay for your mileage when you drive your clients in your vehicle!

Must Haves:

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
