Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to individuals in need, including but not limited to the elderly, disabled, or those with special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental condition to appropriate personnel
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Help manage schedules and appointments

Requirements:
- Previous experience in personal care or related field preferred
- Knowledge of lift techniques and equipment for assisting individuals with mobility challenges
- Familiarity with assisted living principles and practices
- Ability to provide patient care with compassion and empathy
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transportation needs
- Understanding of social work principles for effective communication and support
- Basic knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols for administering medication and monitoring health conditions
- Experience in dementia care is a plus
- Ability to provide childcare services if needed
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors and practice behavior management techniques

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.70 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
