Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, eating, and mobility.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
- Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of resident rights and regulations in a nursing home setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with first aid techniques and the ability to take vital signs is beneficial.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with diverse needs.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Knowledge of social work principles and techniques is a plus.
