Overnight FULL TIME and PART TIME available between 7pm-7am (2 nights or 3 nights per week Sun thru Weds)
Days FULL TIME and PART TIME available--ability to work 7am-3pm a Plus!
Working Sat and Sun only is available.
People Oriented Leaders a Plus!
Ability to stand and walk around a lot during the shift is a must.
Primary Duties
1) Keep client dogs safe.
2) Train and fulfill the dogs.
3) Maintain a clean facility.
Qualifications
- Attitude: Yes, If" not "I Can't". Must be invested in making pets better--period.
- High School Graduate
- Knowledge of standard measures for feeding.
- Two past employer references and must pass a background check.
- Ideal candidate has experience staying calm in the rare emergency situation and will also be good with high stress animals who are not used to being away from home.
- Training provided is a minimum of 20 daytime hours for nights.

You have a passion for dogs. You have had at least one in your life and played with and trained it. You think you speak dog! And now you wish you could help all the dogs you see. We can help you with that. We can give you several hours a day with dogs of all types. You will play, train, feed, and care for dogs of all breeds and ages. Your Pet Space is the only Pet Care facility in Las Cruces to offer Mission Discovery Dog Daycare, an immersive dog experience. Pet Care Specialists work with the dogs in obedience, puzzles, play groups, and more. We are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a weeks. So whether you are an early bird, late riser, or night owl, we can use you. And if you don't speak dog, we can teach you.
If you are an independent night owl... consider working overnights.
The overnight shift is the perfect position for someone that likes people as well as dogs, but enjoys working independently.And it leaves your days free for errands and appointments.
If you are an animal science student...consider working overnights.
Once your job duties are completed for the night and the dogs are asleep, you are welcome to catch up on your schoolwork! And you will be locked in a secure facility overnight, with a direct line to the owners, who live right next door. :)
The Overnight Pet Care Specialist is responsible for caring for dogs alone overnight in our secure cage free facility and feedings in the AM.
