Our community is growing rapidly and is looking to fill the role of caregiver. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of qualifications and to apply for the position. The Caregiver performs various personal care services as outlined on the care plan/service plan as necessary to meet the patient’s needs. The Caregiver will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity, and safety of a patient’s care.
- May provide homemaking services, companion/sitter services, transportation and escort services and related medical activities as Meets safety needs of patients and uses equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
- Follows all privacy policies of the Organization, Infection Control protocols and maintains the confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Must meet the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Certified Home Health Aide may be hired as a Caregiver but will be governed by the same essential job functions as the Caregiver.
- Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on work experience is preferred. Can include experience in a home care, hospital or assisted living setting.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Must have an understanding of the needs of the populations served.
- Must demonstrate tact, patience and good personal hygiene.
