JOB SUMMARY
Senior Helpers - Elmwood Park, IL is seeking a qualified Private Duty Caregiver to care for our elderly clients in their homes, providing companionship, assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, and other services as needed. The successful candidate must be compassionate, highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This is a full-time position with compensation of $17-18 per hour and biweekly pay. In addition, qualified employees are also eligible for health insurance, vacation and sick time, and other employee benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide one-on-one care to elderly clients in their homes
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide meal preparation, medication management, and light housekeeping services
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition to appropriate personnel
• Follow the care plan developed by the healthcare professional
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and other client services
• Assure the safety of clients in both the home and community setting
REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience working with elderly clients in a homecare setting preferred
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Compassionate, dependable, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must pass a background check and drug test
