Caregiver - Direct Support Professional

Broadstep Behavioral Health is actively hiring for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Pickens, SC area. The role of the Direct Support Professional is to be a caregiver for our individuals and assist them in their daily activities to help them integrate and engage in their community.

Broadstep’ s South Carolina programs provide comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and other diagnoses that may impact their behaviors. We are a family-friendly, individual-focused behavioral healthcare program of group homes and vocational day programs.

Schedule & Location:

• Both AM and PM shifts available in Pickens, SC
• AM Shift: 6 am-6 pm; PM Shift: 6 pm-6pm
• Rotating Schedule – you work only 7 days out of 14!

Job Duties:

• Assist individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene and medication administration.
• Accompanying individuals on outings and activities.
• Continually remain active, alert and able to respond to all scenarios.
• Utilize various verbal and physical behavioral interventions.
• Document behaviors, activities, and incidents.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including operations, clinical and medical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans for our individuals.
• Provide and ensure complete service delivery in a healthy and safe manner that supports Broadstep’s vision, mission, and values.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Possess patience and excellent communication.
• Basic computer skills
