Career Specialist - Grant-Funded (PT)
Salary: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
This is a grant-funded position. Grant-funded positions expire either at the end of the stated term or whenever funding for the position ceases.

We are currently seeking a part-time Career Specialist in our Career Development Center. This position provides supports the work of the Career Development Center by providing individual and group career development activities. The Career Specialist supports our students and graduates in the realization of the next steps in their career path.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Provides programming and assistance to students with career planning, job search development and professional skills;
- Manages communication with partners from local businesses and agencies to facilitate postings for career and internship opportunities;
- Communicates with staff on the career development of students;
- Provides individual career counseling to assist student with their choice of academic curriculum;
- Helps coordinate events such as Career Fairs and Career Panels;
- Performs other duties related to the job description and as assigned by the Coordinator of Career Services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degreeThree (3) years’ relevant work experienceExperience with diverse populationsEffective written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, computer literacyCritical thinking abilitiesAbility to travel locally and work occasional evenings
- Master’s degreeExperience working in career planning in a college setting
