The University of Tennessee Knoxville Human Resources Department is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join our team.
General Description:
Market Range: 05 (Potential Salary: $35,000-$41,000)
The UT Knoxville Career Gateway Recruitment Specialist is responsible for the full-cycle operations of the UT Knoxville Career Gateway. The UT Knoxville Career Gateway is a resource that supports various temporary openings within the university that are of unique origin, such as, but not limited to: unexpected vacancies, short- or long-term medical leave, or positions that perform critical operations in a department.
The position also provides recruitment support to Recruitment Business Partners, customers, and provides backup to front desk operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Reviews requests for temporary staffing needs and follows up with departments for additional information where needed.
· Creates requisitions in applicant tracking system to cultivate candidates.
· Develops a pool of candidates by recruiting candidates, reviewing applications, conducting reference checks, initiating background checks, and referring qualified candidates to hiring department for interview and selection.
· Actively recruit, interview, and onboard a pool of qualified candidates who are ready to work on an immediate basis.
· Maintain relationships with ready-to-work candidates by completing check-in calls, assessing employment status, and gauging skills and employability.
· In conjunction with Career Gateway Supervisor, monitors employee performance by soliciting feedback from hiring departments.
· Communicates with applicants concerning specific vacancies, job qualifications, resume assistance, salary concerns, benefits information, etc.
· Extends job offers and processes hiring paperwork and ensures compliance with I-9 completion, reference checks, and background check procedures have been followed.
· Enter time for employees into HRIS system.
· Enter billing information into electronic systems.
· Markets the Career Gateway as a resource to departments on campus and community partners by making presentations and developing marketing materials.
· Attends job fairs and community events to identify potential candidates.
Identifies, makes recommendations, and implements opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma
· 2 years administrative experience including support for HR functions
· Knowledge of MS Office and web-based applications
· Excellent customer service skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Organizational skills
· Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently
· Ability to answer multi-line phone, multi-task, and coordinate meetings
· Ability to be flexible/objective in a high-pressure environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of IRIS (SAP) and Taleo (Oracle)
