Scope of Position: The Career Coach Lead will provide leadership to the PATH Career Coaches and support program participants to successfully participate in program activities and achieve employability goals.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Help to ensure that positive outcomes and program goals are met as required by contract
- Supervise activities and conduct performance evaluations for Career Coaches
- Utilize a coaching approach to build collaborative, trusted relationships with participants and staff
- Assist with participant coaching and case management as needed
- Perform case reviews to ensure that required documentation is maintained, Career Coaches are adhering to program policies, and participants are complying with their participation requirements
- Evaluate and approve participant requests for supportive services
- Document all participant contacts in case notes
- Attend partner and provider meetings
- Act as liaison and maintain collaborative relationships with Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) partners, and communicate with DHHS about participant case changes and questions
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of PATH program policies and procedures
- Meet regularly with Career Coaches to share best practices, reinforce coaching techniques and implement continuous improvement
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of PATH policies is preferred
- Experience working with PATH participants or other workforce development program participants and/or public assistance recipients
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated telephone, computer and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
- Customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of and competency in using Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Staff providing Career Coaching must obtain the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certificate within one year of hire
