Care Assistant - Glenview - Weekends

Personal Caregiver needed for an agency, providing the highest quality of care to clients in the Glenview and surrounding suburbs. Other work throughout Chicagoland available, apply within.

Ideal employee has 3+ years of caregiver experience, good communication, hard working, dependable, and living close to North Side is ideal. Looking for long term relationship to work. WEEKENDS - mornings, evenings, and overnights - various shifts.

Duties can include:

· Ensure client’s safety and security by supervising the home environment.

· Routine housekeeping activities such as making/changing beds, dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, and laundry.

· Provide companionship including social interactions, conversations, emotional reassurance and encouragement of activities that stimulate the mind.

· Escort clients to medical facilities, errands, shopping and outings as specified in the care plan.

· Participate on the Care Team by providing input and making suggestions.

· Ensure service is delivered in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures and practices.

· Observe clients and their environments and reports unsafe conditions to Home Care Manager/Administrator or Designee.

· Complete and maintain records of daily activities, observations, and direct hours of service.

Requirements:

· Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN, Per diem

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
