Starting Wage: $17.50 - $20.56 DOE
Part-time unbenefited position working 28 hours per two weeks. Days of work are Monday - Friday with variable hours.
At a minium, must be able to work Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Additional hors may be available with cross-training into another department.
Assists Cardiac Rehab staff (Exercise Physiologist and/or Registered Nurse) in the implementation of various types of treatment, cleaning, and office duties for cardiac rehab department services. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
High school level of knowledge preferred in order to follow written and oral instructions, perform simple calculations and to deal effectively with other people. Will complete CPR every other year.
Previous work experience in a Cardiopulmonary Rehab setting preferred but not required. Time to reach competency on the job is three to six months.

Responsibilities
- Patient care:
- Assist with opening and closing of department daily.
- Makes sure equipment ready daily for staff to use for patient care.
- Greets patients and visitors for Cardiac Rehab services.
- Administers cardiac rehab care prescription and/or education thereof as planned and directed by an Exercise Physiologist or Registered Nurse to patients of all age groups in accordance with established standards of performance.
- Provide assistance to cardiac rehab staff for patient care needs, including but not limited to, stress testing.
- Takes patient blood pressures if requested
- Support to the cardiac rehab staff when performing tests, evaluations, procedures and activities.
- Provides assistance with collecting data during treatment and evaluation sessions.
- Communicates with care team regarding patient's progress, needs and discharge planning.
- Assists in Phase III and Phase IV programs
- Assists in daily mail, answering phones, patient scheduling, and team communication of schedules.
- Cleaning and Maintenance
- Maintains a neat and organized appearance in all areas of the department; replaces equipment to assigned place.
- Stocks supplies in all depts., makes sure supplies available for patient care needs, and performs inventory as needed.
- Responsible for daily, bi-weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of rehab equipment and logs required for Joint Commission.
