AddressPerforms routine and expanded job descriptions as listed in the provider’s delegation agreement on file with the Maryland Board of Physicians or Maryland Board of Nursing. Under the direction of a physician, the APP will:
- Join a multifaceted team that covers the Cardiovascular ICU.
- Collaborate with attending physicians and clinicians regarding admission, discharge, and transfer decisions.
- Communicate effectively with attending physicians, other medical teams, team members, and patient’s families.
- Demonstrate competence in clinical assessment and decision making.
- Perform comprehensive history and physical assessments for patient admissions and daily rounds.
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services.
- Administer therapeutic procedures such as circumcisions.
- Educate, counsel, and address patient’s parents on pertinent issues
- Demonstrates competence and skill in required tasks and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and competency in required subspecialty.
- Complete required CMEs and maintain licensures appropriately. o Performs according to Maryland Board of Physician or Board of Nursing standards and expanded job description procedural protocols.
- Facilitates excellence in quality assurance and the delivery of patient care as part of our High Reliability Organization.
- Provides optimal quality of patient care while following safety guidelines,
- Maintains a procedure complication rate less than the national average.
- Contributes to cohesive group relations; uses open communication to resolve problems in and between departments.
- Demonstrates commitment to professional department and organizational core values.
