DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Runs hard copy EKG strips every shift.
Observes telemetry for proper tracings by replacing batteries and patches as necessary.
Reviews charts to prioritize workload and communicates the orders to appropriate team member
Assists with waived testing per unit policy and competency validation.
Maintains confidentiality. Respects privacy, keeps all medical center records confidential and is professional about conducting medical center business.
May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong communication skills.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Healthcare experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
