Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8 to 12 hour shifts between 6:00am and 6:30pm
On-Call required on rotational basis with other staff, plus minimal call-back
Minimum Qualifications (Applicants must meet the following requirements):
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
- Completion of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Technician Certification (RCVT) program.
- Experience:
- A minimum of four (4) years of professional Cardiac Catheterization experience. The technician must have worked full-time or part-time (greater than 20 hrs/week) as a professional Cardiac Catheterization technician for at least 24 months in the last 48 months.
- Life Support Certification:
- Current AHA or ARC BLS for Providers Certification.
- Security:
- Must possess the ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
Core Duties:
- Job Specific Details and Tasks:
- Provide Cardiac Catheterization services and support for active-duty Air Force providers.
- Maintain the Cardiac Catheterization lab and ensure its cleanliness.
- Assist in monitoring and patient care during procedures.
- Train and educate new technicians in various aspects of the job.
- Manage inventory, equipment, and supply orders.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, invasive cardiovascular procedures, and complex interventions.
- Perform patient education and ensure patient comfort.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain detailed records and electronic medical records.
- Respond to emergency situations following advanced life support protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
