Location: Gastonia, NC 28054
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 10 HR shifts, On-call is: Avg 5-6 days per month, included 1 weekend every
5th weekend
Cardiovascular Tech Roles and Responsibilities:
To perform diversified duties in the Electrophysiology Lab and Hybrid OR, assisting the cardiologist intra-procedurally including preparation and positioning of patients, operation of x-ray equipment in radiological and fluoroscopic procedures, scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters according to policy.
The CVT will be competent to monitor and scrub simple and complex electrophysiology studies, device explants and extractions, simple and complex CRM device cases, LAAC cases, diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, and STEMI (during normal hours of operation).
Responsibilities also include precepting new or existing employees.
The CVT Staff may progress to CVT Intermediate by completing skill validations and maintaining competencies to monitor and scrub 4 of 5 Additional Specialty Areas.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, physicians, and families to achieve positive outcomes.
BLS/ACLS certification REQUIRED.
Experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab HIGHLY preferred
Graduate of an approved cardiovascular technology program HIGHLY Preferred
Client may recognize alternative allied health credentials for applicants with experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab setting.
Over 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab may be considered for the CVT Intermediate skill level.
