Job Summary and QualificationsPrepares and assist in Cardiac Catheterizations, as well as vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures (including various radiology procedures). Perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedure – to include but not limited to IAB and temporary pacer insertion. Follow established standards and practices under the direction of a credentialed invasive cardiologist, or credentialed invasive radiologist. Participates in CV CQI.
Prepares and assist in Cardiac Catheterizations, as well as vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures (including various radiology procedures). Perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedure – to include but not limited to IAB and temporary pacer insertion. Follow established standards and practices under the direction of a credentialed invasive cardiologist, or credentialed invasive radiologist. Participates in CV CQI.
What You Will Do In This Role:
- You will scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures
- You will monitor and document procedure in the hemodynamic system
- You will educate patients and family members regarding the technical aspects of the procedure
- You will assist in ordering supplies/maintaining inventory
What Qualifications You Will Need:
· Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
·Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
· High School Graduate / GED
·License/Certification: RRT(Registered Radiologic Technologist), or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
·1 Year of Cath Lab experience or 3 years experience as a Rad Tech, or 2 years experience as an RCIS
