The Iowa Clinic has an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that will open our new musculoskeletal-focused ambulatory surgery center. Conveniently located near I-80 in Waukee, this state-of-the-art, 21,000 sq. ft. ASC will offer same-day joint replacement, orthopedic, sports medicine, foot and ankle, pain management surgery and a Cardiac Catheterization lab in an out-patient setting. A Day in the Life of Ambulatory Surgery RN…

Under the direction of the ASC Director, the Cardiac Cath LabTeam Leader coordinates and supervises patient care, daily operational activities, scheduling of staff, regulatory compliance, patient safety, high standard of customer service, and quality within the Cardiac Cath Lab environment.  Ensures efficient and effective lab operations and compliance with regulations, AAAHC and CMS certifications and policies. 

Essential Functions:

• In collaboration with the ASC Director, The Cath lab Team Leader is accountable for maintaining high-quality, cost-effective services within budgetary guidelines. 
• Schedules and facilitates meetings with staff and physicians regarding the Cath Lab when required.
• Responsible for participating in hiring, training and ongoing evaluation functions including the interview process, orientation in compliance with company policy and procedures.
• Manages overall daily operational activities of the Cath Lab including, handling patient concerns, working with Ambulatory physician and leaders to facilitate day to day operations of the surgery center.
• Works with Materials Manager and/or the OR supervisor in maintaining inventory and ordering of supplies and/or equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

·       Associate Degree in Nursing Program. BSN would be preferred.

·       Current RN license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa.

·       BLS Certifications (American Heart Association)

·       3 Years RN experience in Cardiovascular services.

·       1-3 years supervisory experience in a medical setting
