Job description

Under the general direction of the Correctional Administrator (CA), Health Care Audits and Support (HCAS), the Captain (Adult Institution) (AI) will assist with the auditing of the Health Care Access Units at each Adult Institution, functions as a correctional operations subject matter expert (SME), and provides leadership in all efforts related to the compliance of the healthcare facilities within CDCR institutions. The Captain has institution specific oversite of the Operations Monitoring Audits (OMA), and any additional reviews that relate to healthcare areas at institutions within the CDCR/CCHCS. Captains are assigned specific institutions and expected to cover behind other HCAS Captains as necessary. Extensive travel is required (70%).
NOTE: Training and Development (T&D) assignments will not be considered for this recruitment.
