Capital Markets Analyst / Renewable Energy

We are seeking aCapital Markets Analyst to lead the debt and tax equity transactions for Catalyze’s portfolio of solar and storage projects. You will directly support our Capital Markets team through managing transaction closings, building and maintaining portfolio financial models, assembling solicitation materials, and influence our project development and business development organization and a wide range of capital partners, and translate insights to our software team. You will have the opportunity to impact our delivery of DG projects and expand your exposure in renewable energy project finance, tax equity, and debt markets .

You Are:

  • Skilled at defining criteria on which conclusions should be based, understanding the consequences of those conclusions for the department and other stakeholders


You Will:

  • Lead project financial valuation and provide feedback to project development and business development teams
  • Act as the lead modeler in M&A deal structuring, project development, and structured finance
  • Provide end-to-end financial project delivery through project optimization analysis with development and design teams, comparing different project orientations
  • Conduct market research and provide information for project financial valuations
  • Support the translation of new models into our software platform in partnership with the software engineering team
  • Continuously improve upon existing models and perform QC/QA across project financial modeling
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting
  • Additional duties as required

What You Bring to Catalyze:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related academic field
  • 3+ years of experience in renewable energy (solar preferred) or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience preparing and presenting complex project finance models along with corresponding board approval decks, specifically for renewable energy project development
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, multitasking, and problem resolution

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, New York City Salary Transparency Law and California Pay Transparency Law, Catalyze provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado, New York City or California. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado, New York City, NY and California only, the range of starting pay for this role is $107,000 to $137,000 USD.
