Our goal is to meet the highest employer standards by ensuring the health and safety of our employees, protecting the environment, and positively impacting our communities where we do business.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Capital Execution Lead within U.S. Onshore Resources & Carbon Management - Enhanced Oil Recovery (ORCM EOR) organization in Houston, Texas.

This position will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Coordinate the specifics of a Capital (Drill / CWO) program between multiple verticals: RMT, Development Team, Ops, Surface, Drilling, Completions, Land, Regulatory, Facilities
  • Provide schedule inputs for monthly production forecasting and outlook process
  • Build, maintain, and manage schedule contingency plans to allow maximum flexibility within the program, understanding all scheduling constraints and each critical path of program execution
  • Facilitate the Management of Change (MOC) process & tool, including overseeing the change request approval process
  • Communicate regularly with all disciplines and groups to ensure accuracy of inputs to the schedule and Well Execution Planner (WEP) system. This includes hosting weekly execution meetings with representatives from across the entire business unit (30 people)
  • Act as the liaison between all departments (including the Development, Land, Surface Planning, Regulatory, Drilling, Completions, Asset, & Facilities) to ensure critical communications and field development activities related to project planning and execution occur in a timely manner and meeting BU's expectations, using project management and controls principles
  • Weekly and monthly reporting responsibilities. Including performance reports (KPI's, scorecards, etc.) and ad-hoc requests
  • Provide technical, timing, and cost requirements to Supply Chain team for development of commercial strategies. Ensure data is gathered from function and technical resources to feed Demand Planning Process
  • Track major milestones & handoff targets for section development through the well readiness process, and work with functional teams to expedite well delivery, address schedule changes, and monitor risk as they arise
  • Serve as the central point of contact and subject matter expert for all things related to the Business Unit's schedule, plan and process
  • Work directly with Senior Leadership in the BU to receive scenario guidance, quickly communicate schedule readiness and risk, work high level optionality, and respond to questions asked from leadership
  • Delegate projects and assignments to PMs as required
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other Program Management Leaders to optimize shared resource schedules and gain efficiencies
  • Serve as central point for monthly production outlook and forecasting on a monthly and yearly basis

Education:  BS / MS in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical degree preferred)

Experience: 

  • 5 - 10 years of oil and gas industry experience
  • Prior Experience / involvement with Capital programs and delivering BP Development Wedges
  • 2 - 5 years of Project Mgmt experience

  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & critical thinking skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced knowledge of oil and gas operations, preferably Permian Basin experience
