Capital Purchasing / Procurement
Responsibilities include:
- Manage indirect spend for capital projects and facility services
- Negotiate with suppliers on new contracts and updating existing contract terms
- Manage sourcing strategies and suppliers
- Oversee bid proposals, price justifications, risk assessments and cost analysis to determine should-cost
- Manage and negotiate long term and blanket contracts
- Find creative cost-outs in purchasing policies and with vendor processes
- Highly involved with sourcing and procuring capital equipment; integral part of capital investment team
- Research vendors to determine best options and make recommendations by evaluating total cost and quality of indirect materials and services
- Work closely with Engineering on capital projects and manufacturing equipment specifications
- Work closely with Maintenance and Facilities Services by dissecting proposals and making recommendations that will cut costs and improve processes
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience sourcing for capital projects
- Ability to read technical prints and specifications
- Strong negotiation skills
- Contract writing experience
- Excellent technical abilities and interpersonal / communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
