This position manages specific capacity load leveling and planning activities in Campbell's North America. This includes generation of the two-year horizon production plans, management of all network capacity constraints, maintenance of all planning relevant master data and determination of key sourcing decisions that affect the capacity plan.
This position provides key tactical and strategic management over the finished goods inventory projections, capacity utilization, plant run strategies and plays a key role in generating plans to obtain and maintain world class levels of customer service. It is also a critical executional role in driving the supply chain Demand Driven Supply Network strategy.
The position will provide expertise for the production and inventory plans generated through the weekly processes as well as monthly Strategy processes. Key roles include the optimization of the systems parameters and the ability to integrate across the tools to improve business performance. This position requires significant experience in the intricacies of the SNP module, Data inputs, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the CSC business processes.
This role will serve as the Supply Planning solution "go to person" for industry best practices, and application expertise within CSC to ensure the highest quality plan / process which support department goals. This role actively defines and supports initiatives to drive continual improvement in business practices and parameter settings to gain business improvements for the product categories
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Capacity Planning and Inventory Planning Management
  • Synchronizes and optimizes the plan parameter settings that impact the plans performance and output of rough-cut capacity plan. This process is a complex understanding of the solution technology capabilities, industry best practices, and the business processes of Campbell Soup.
  • Takes a proactive role in running scenarios to develop the lowest inventory position while maintaining customer service levels, prebuild requirements, capacity limitations, and transportation expense targets.
  • Manages weekly capacity planning activities in CNA including management of key master data inputs (rates, production calendars, sourcing, production cycles, etc.)
  • Operational liaison with the plant to drive changes in crewing strategy, sourcing strategy and in developing strategies to maximize service and minimize inventory
  • Provides key inputs to the AOP and financial projection process including projected production, inventory, and interplant movements. Proactively manages and balances financial, inventory and service risks
  • Drives Demand Driven Supply Network strategy by implementing the key components of Produce-to-Demand into the production plan
  • Proactively identifies cost and inventory improvement opportunities and supports delivery of the overall Network Optimization enabler plan
  • Other duties as assigned

2. Strategic Planning
  • Engages with external knowledge sources, such as other software application clients, industry analysts, etc. for industry best practices
  • Responsible for training in the business processes.
  • Responsible for resource downtime, ramp-up, and capital improvements as it relates to capacity planning

3. Safety Stock and Power User Expert
  • Provides management oversite, education, and training to all users of safety stock ensuring customer service levels are being attained or surpassed while minimizing finished goods inventory.
  • Manages and maintains all safety stock functionality ensuring the Plan generated by the Supply/Network Planning tool is optimized.
  • Work closely with the Demand Planning and Demand Sensing team to ensure an optimized set of processes and data streams exists to realize proper forecast are integrated to the Supply Planning module(s).

Job Complexity:
  • Ability to interpret data from multiple sources and evaluate for impact on supply planning. Should have the tenacity to provide a thorough situation analysis and strive for alternative recommendations.
  • The ability to communicate proactively and effectively to build healthy working relationships
  • Ability to work independently to problem solve systems issues complex in nature.
  • Ability to manage to consensus across multiple stakeholders with competing objectives.

Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Logistics, Operations Management, or general Business
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant supply chain experience required
  • High level of expertise in SAP planning and scheduling tools including APO and PPDS preferred
  • Ability to interpret and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals.
  • Autonomous with superior attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various functions and levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to train others.

Working Conditions
Normal office environment with expected travel less than 20%.
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$72,900-$117,300
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
