This role reports to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and is the Chief Administration Officer (CAO). The CAO works closely with the CPO and will assist them with staffing management, budgets, escalations and team communications, to name a few. The CAO will sits on the Global Procurement leadership team act as a point of contact for the CPO by hosting team meetings, relaying executive messages and organizing efforts to address any information that partners want to bring to the CPO's attention.
The CAO provides leadership and guidance to subordinate managers as well as the overall Global Procurement business unit. Oversees significant resources for the group and exercises strategic budget and administrative control over planning and project management. Focus on the role is on execution of strategic direction of the groups function activities. Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
Job Description
  • Right hand to the CPO
  • Oversees plans and in collaboration with the leadership team directs the activities for the group, ensuring that business objectives are being met
  • Manages and oversees the financial plans and processes for the global teams on budget and tracking, capital and expense
  • Maintains risk management (including BCP) and compliance programs and activities for the unit
  • In conjunction with Strategy & Sustainability lead, participates in developing the groups strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set; follows through to ensure that objectives are met
  • Promote engagement and guidance to staff, fostering a positive collaborative environment.
  • Organizing training, meetings, townhalls, enrichment activities, and encourage a positive and inclusive employee experience focusing on participation, teamwork and communication
  • Oversees any acquisition or investment activity, including participating in and coordinating local due diligence and integration activities across functions
  • Coordination of space and location strategy across business unit
  • Directs the development of programs, policies and best practices, and corporate/administration services to enhance the procurement function, partner onboarding, training and experience
  • Responsible for overseeing the employee engagement aspects of enterprise talent management and succession planning
  • Along with leadership perform market analysis, benchmark and or peer comparison to transform and optimize the vision of a best in class organization and category specific teams
  • Identify new business plans designed to expand the group's efficiencies and or the business unit partner experience
  • Leads other strategic projects as directed by the CPO
  • Lead internal and external marketing (including branding and communication) campaigns

Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Computer Science or related disciplines preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • Third Party Risk and Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management professional designation or certification preferred or equivalent senior level years of experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years of related experience with a strong understanding of sourcing and third party management in a highly regulated industry.
  • Ability to successfully navigate across various lines of business
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of related disciplines, including accounts payable, market data, strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier information security, supplier diversity, ESG, third-party compliance, information technology vendor management, privacy, enterprise risk management and/or business continuity
  • Ability to think and act strategically and creatively, while having strong business acumen and the ability to develop and drive the strategic plan for the business unit
  • Proven experience as a team lead, team management, resource planning, designing corresponding department job descriptions and hiring of personnel
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to influence activities across multiple teams and across business units
  • Outstanding writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong networking ability to develop internal and external networks based on integrity and credibility through active listening and understanding
  • Extensive business experience and broad functional expertise, with focus on proactive strategic leadership
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
