Cannasseur (Part-Time)

OVERVIEW:

Cloud9 Cannabis is hiring a part-time Cannasseur that will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and developing rapport with our patients, vendors, services providers and staff at the retail dispensary in Champaign, IL. The Cannasseur will effectively communicate cannabis knowledge to patients and team members, recommend and help select the proper medicine depending on their individual needs. This individual will also have a hand in opening and closing tasks, inventory fulfillment, and replenishment while maintaining the Cloud9 standards. This role reports directly to the Dispensary Store Leader at Cloud9 Cannabis in Champaign, IL.

This is an exciting opportunity to be apart of a startup cannabis organization that will continue to grow throughout the state of Illinois. This individual must be motivated, positive, and eager to assist our dispensary through startup operations.

As a Cannasseur your responsibilities will include:

• Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with Cloud9 standards.
• Develop and maintain rapport with our patients, vendors, service providers and staff.
• Ensure patients’ concerns and questions are solved/answered promptly and efficiently, and communicate patients’ requests and problems to management when needed.
• Recommend, select, and help locate the proper medicine for patient depending on their individual needs.
• Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to patients clearly and effectively.
• Ensure strict controls to protect organization assets at the direction of management.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise, and monitoring the floor’s inventory levels, as well as participating in inventory counts.
• Frequently maintain dispensary’s cleanliness, i.e. dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping and sanitization.
• Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Perform other related work as required.

Qualified candidates will have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or equivalent years of experience through education and experience.
• Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior experience in the cannabis industry preferred, but not required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to pass all required background checks as it pertains to Illinois cannabis laws.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
