Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Chemistry Analyst with a strong scientific background and a passion for the cannabis industry. The Cannabis Lab Chemistry Analyst will be instrumental in guaranteeing the quality and safety of cannabis products through various chemical and analytical tests, contributing to informed decisions for producers, manufacturers, and consumers alike.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct chemical and analytical tests on cannabis samples, including potency analysis, pesticide screening, residual solvent analysis, terpene profiling, and heavy metals testing.
- Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment such as gas chromatographs, liquid chromatographs, mass spectrometers, and other analytical instruments.
- Adhere to rigorous laboratory protocols, quality control, and quality assurance procedures.
- Accurately and efficiently document and report test results.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Keep abreast of industry regulations, standards, and best practices in cannabis testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
- Laboratory experience, particularly in analytical chemistry or related fields.
- Knowledge of cannabis testing methods and industry regulations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and data analysis software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
