Cannabis Cultivation Assistant

Oregonic Farms is looking for a full-time, experienced, and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Assistant to our indoor grow team. The right candidate will be a self-starter with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn. This position is responsible for assisting the cultivation manager with all operations including but not limited to: planting, watering, pruning, harvesting, and pest control. This position will be part of a team of three people and work closely with the other two team members. This position requires a candidate who is organized, flexible, and able to multi-task. environment.

• Responsibilities

Work directly with the cultivation team performing all tasks from germinating seeds to harvesting plants. This includes carrying out day-to-day plant care like watering and pruning.

• Must be able to move large amounts of soil for transplanting.
• Maintain sanitation standards of the entire cultivation facility. This includes maintaining and cleaning all cultivation equipment and tools including lights, reflectors, containers, mixing tools, application tools and ventilation equipment.
• Adheres to the cultivation schedule set by the Cultivation Manager
• Responsible for measuring and mixing nutrient and plant applications and applying these mixtures according to the Cultivation Manager.
• Assisting the Cultivation Manager with tracking plants throughout the growth lifecycle and ensuring accurate documentation of Metrc tags per state standards.
• Help document all nutrients and substances applied to any plant within the cultivation facility.
• Record, monitor and report room conditions. IE Temperature and humidity in all grow areas.
• Understand production and quality control measures in accordance with our high product standards.
• Assists with Research & Development projects as assigned
• Some trimming and bucking may be required.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Operations or Cultivation Manager.

Job Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.

• Must be 21 years of age or older

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have:

• A High School Diploma or Equivalent
• General agriculture experience
• Cannabis growing experience required

Physical Abilities: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:

• Regularly sit or stand for long periods (approx. 8 hours) of time doing repetitive tasks with hands including using hands to finger, handle or feel, walk, sit, twist, turn, pull/push, reach, climb, carry up to 50 pounds, talk, hear and grasp.
• Occasionally climb, stoop/crouch, crawl, taste or smell.
• Be reliable - plants can't live if you don't show up!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
