Overview
The Vermont Cannabis Control Board (CCB) is searching for its next full-time Executive Director. This position offers the opportunity to oversee Vermont's adult-use and medical cannabis industries and to serve the public in a dynamic and meaningful way.
Description
The Executive Director guides and administers the daily operations of the Cannabis Control Board and ensures that the Board is fulfilling its statutory mandates efficiently and effectively.
This includes:
  • Guiding and administering the internal operations of the Board, including organizational structure, policies, budget, and staffing
  • Administering the ongoing licensing and oversight of adult-use cannabis establishments and hemp manufacturers
  • Guiding and administering the medical cannabis program
  • Recruiting and supervising staff to carry out the functions of the Board
  • Acting as secretary to the Board
  • Coordinating the various executive branch agencies that have concurrent jurisdiction over the production and sale of cannabis
  • Acting as the Board's liaison to the General Assembly and the general public
  • Preparing the Board's legislative reports as required by law

Compensation
The Executive Director position is an exempt full-time position. Salary and benefits will be based upon qualifications and experience in accordance with the State of Vermont Executive Director Pay Plan. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher AND at least three (3) years of experience in program administration leadership.
