SalaryCushing Academy, a culturally diverse residential boarding school in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, seeks an individual to perform the duties of the Campus Store and Mailroom Associate duties.
This is a per diem position.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide exceptional customer experience. Creating a positive and inviting environment for customers
- Respond quickly and resourcefully to customer requests and concerns.
- Be flexible in performing various responsibilities (i.e., cashier, returns, other duties as assigned)
- Multitask on merchandising and sales responsibilities while maintaining a neat and clean store.
- Pick up the mail at the Ashburnham Post Office.
- Sort the mail by students, faculty, and offices, and deliver mail to faculty and student mailboxes.
- Process and deliver outgoing mail to the Ashburnham Post Office.
- Log all faculty and student incoming and outgoing packages. Students and faculty must sign for all packages when they are picked up from the mailroom.
- Keeping the mailroom organized and the mailboxes in good working condition.
- Assuring that all boxes and items to be stored are properly labeled and contracts filled for all students using the storage service.
Requirements:
- Obtaining high school or equivalent.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Customer service and multitasking is a must.
- Comfortable with interacting with customers of all ages.
- The ability to work collaboratively with coworkers and other school community members.
- Organizational and detail-oriented work style.
- Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pounds range, stand and walk continuously.
- Basic Computer skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule (including nights and weekends).
- Generally, works in standard office conditions and climate.
