We are looking for a Campus Safety Monitor to undertake the security of students, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for enforcing school rules with students and have a strong working relationship with the deans and School Resource Officer. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation and self control. The goal is to help the school maintain student safety by keeping the building safe and problem-free. Must be of sound character and pass a background check prior to start.
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor hallway and lunchroom activity
- Prevent anyone unauthorized into the building
- Secure all exits, doors and windows at all times
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation and assist with evacuations as necessary
- Provide assistance to people in need
Skills
- PERC Card Required
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
- High School diploma is required

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
