The Campus Pastor is responsible for overseeing the life and direction of Harvest Christian Fellowship's campus location under the direction and leadership of the Senior Pastor. This role requires a firm grasp of Harvest's beliefs, values, and strategy and the ability to align staff and key leaders with the church's mission, vision, and values. The Campus Pastor will also provide pastoral leadership to the campus community and ensure that the church's systems, practices, and policies effectively support its ministry activities.
Responsibilities
- Model Biblical Priorities and Care Values
- Uphold Harvest's biblical priorities and care values.
- Demonstrate a growing personal relationship with Christ.
- Model a strong relationship with spouse (if married) and children (if applicable).
- Strive to fulfill your purpose in ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships, and actions.
- Accomplish these objectives through daily quiet times with God, regular participation in a Harvest small group, setting appropriate boundaries, developing personal evangelism opportunities, faithfully giving, and adhering to the qualities and characteristics outlined in the Bible.
- Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Champion Harvest's vision and values at the campus location.
- Assist the Senior Pastor and leadership team in strategic planning and staff coordination to execute the church's mission and vision.
- Lead the campus in accomplishing goals and action plans established by the Senior Pastor and senior leadership team.
- Provide leadership and input to help Harvest stay true to its mission and vision through activities such as implementing an intentional staff meetings strategy and monitoring and reporting on the pulse of the congregation.
- Pastoral Care and Leadership
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, staff, and faculty at the campus location.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key leaders and stakeholders on campus.
- Oversee and mentor the campus ministry team.
- Preach and teach in various settings.
- Operational Leadership
- Ensure the smooth operation of the campus location, including overseeing facilities, budgets, and staffing.
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives that support the church's mission and vision on campus.
- Represent Harvest Christian Fellowship at campus events and community functions.
Qualifications
- Master's/Bachelor's degree in Divinity, Ministry, or a related field from an accredited seminary or Bible college. (Preferred)
- Minimum of five years of experience in pastoral ministry, with a proven track record of success in leading and growing a church or campus ministry.
- Strong understanding of Harvest Christian Fellowship's beliefs, values, and strategy.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and develop trust with people from diverse backgrounds.
- A passion for evangelism and discipleship.
