Campus Pastor
The Courageous Church is seeking to hire a qualified Campus Pastor to join their team. This is a full time, staff position that will oversee and lead one of the campuses at The Courageous Church.
Position Overview
To build, grow, and pastor a campus of The Courageous Church. Responsibility to oversee and support the success of the Weekend Experience, Groups, The Courageous Life and Dream Team.
Primary Accountabilities
Weekend Experience Responsibilities
- Ensure campus facility is opened and prepped for all worship experiences.
- Facilitate all Worship Experiences on Sunday (Welcome, Commitment Time, Offering, lobby, etc.)
- Connect with First Impressions Director and make sure all ministry areas and operations are covered
- Serve as a communicator of the life-giving message of Jesus, including preaching and teaching, as needed
- Make sure campus facility is secure following Worship Experiences
- Oversee secure financial transfers from campus to central offices
- Love, encourage, and pastor people
- Connect with new people
- Be available for ministry time with individuals
- Oversee the planning and execution of Water Baptism when scheduled and as needed.
- Oversee that Group leaders are adequately trained and supported each season.
Weekday Responsibilities
- Attend meetings with Lead Pastor and other Campus Pastors as needed
- Participate in weekly communications same page meeting to prepare for weekend communications and service programming
- Formal and informal touch points with Group leaders, Team leaders, and potential new leaders.
- Monitor prayer requests, info requests, campus care concerns and activity and partner with Campus Ministry Director to oversee campus care
- Communicate and champion upcoming events, etc., with campus leadership team
- Inspect campus facilities for excellence and communicate facility maintenance needs to Central Operations.
- Oversee safety and security of daily campus operations.
- Communicate with the campus leadership team regarding Weekend Experiences.
- Continually evaluate systems that will create growth at campus level and partner with central teams for continuous quality improvement
- Be available for appointments when needed.
- Plan and implement monthly meetings/debriefs with Campus Lead team
- Connect regularly with Central Ministry Directors: Ckids, Youth, Worship and Production to support campus ministry directors and ministry execution
- Meet regularly with Central Ministry Director regarding goals and team health
- Connect with Central Programming Director to coordinate campus events, church branding and first impressions, and align culture to ensure excellence in execution
- Inspect campus facility for upcoming weekend services (make sure all rooms are neat, tidy & well organized)
- Be prepared to preach each week in the event of technological malfunction
- Build ministry teams and recruit leaders
Special Events
- Work with central and volunteer teams to oversee, coordinate, plan, staff, and implement all special events for the campus.
Campus Care
- Meet regularly with Ministry Director and Care Coordinator to review the wellness of the campus
- Oversee the execution of monthly campus Wellness Meetings with campus leaders
- Oversee and support the pastoral care needs of campus leaders
- Oversee the process of pastoral counseling including marriage counseling, one-on-one ministry, and next steps
- Oversee the execution of baby dedications when scheduled and as needed
- Oversee the execution of monthly prayer services
- Identify needs for spiritual growth and development throughout the church community
- Identify areas for the church to “care for itself” and facilitate discipleship opportunities
- Officiate weddings and funerals as requested
Groups
- Develop and meet regularly with Campus Ministry Director and Campus Groups Coordinator.
- Oversee that Group leaders are adequately trained and supported each season.
- Constantly recruiting new group leaders.
- Assist with identifying and developing leaders and coaches for each season.
- Communicate often with group leaders to support, encourage and serve them.
- Lead a Group as needed to strengthen the campus
The Courageous Life
- Oversee the integrity and execution of The Courageous Life and the onboarding process of new Dream Team members.
- Develop and meet regularly with Campus Ministry Director and Step Up Coordinator
- Identify and help develop The Step Up Team
Leadership Development
- Meet with Campus Directors one-on-one every 4-6 weeks
- Champion and oversee leadership development nights at campus
- Ongoing development of campus leaders
- Continually recruit potential Dream Team members
- Highlight areas of needed team members and build up teams
- Consistently encourage all members of the Dream Team
- Plan/Implement/Attend any Dream Team specific events
Skills Required
- Biblical and theological acumen
- Ability to lead in a life giving, non-religious environment
- Ability to collaborate amongst various layers of leadership and teams
- Time management skills and prioritization

Additional Requirements
- Willingness to do all that is necessary to ensure that the campus runs at the highest level of excellence.
- Experience building and managing a team of volunteers.
- One year leadership experience within a church preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
