We are currently partnering with Raise the Wage Arizona to assist in the effort of collecting petition signatures to qualify an issue on the Arizona Statewide ballot during this November’s Election.
Raise the Wage Arizona is part of a national coalition, campaign, and organization seeking to end all sub-minimum wages in the United States and increase the sustainability of wages and working conditions for all jobs. Raise the Wage Arizona is focused on raising the Arizona minimum wage by $1 over cost of living increases in 2025 and 2026 and leaves cost of living increases in place thereafter. For tipped employees, it raises the minimum wage employers must pay tipped employees regardless of tips employees earn. Currently, employers may count up to $3 per hour of a tipped employee's tips to offset the employer's minimum wage obligation. The Act gradually reduces the amount of the employer's offset due to tips until the employer is required to pay the full minimum wage and employees keep all of their tips on top of that wage.
Job Description:
We are currently hiring Field Director staff for our offices in Phoenix, Glendale, Tucson, and Tempe. Field Directors are responsible for working with the Field Director team to build a team of paid petition circulators. The position will focus on the recruitment of 15 to 20 circulators and providing extensive training in the areas of Arizona petition law, canvassing technique, and issue messaging. This person must be motivated and eager to contribute to Raise the Wage Arizona’s signature collection efforts and overall mission. This position will start as soon as February 5th and run through at least June 8th. Continued opportunities will be available to those who perform well starting in July.
Responsibilities:
· Recruitment and training of 15 to 20 paid petition circulators
· Track employee’s hours worked and contact information
· Issue and verify New Hire Paperwork including staff policies, tax forms and I9s
· Perform daily logistics including building teams with team managers and assign sites for each circulator to collect signatures
· Create and maintain a positive and goal driven atmosphere
· Run daily trainings in the office for existing staff and perform advanced trainings in the field
· Supervise and provide guidance to staff members
· Utilize Kolehouse Strategies’ proprietary systems and data trackers on a daily basis while keeping the current with the most recent information
· Oversee the end of shift procedure to correctly verify and count each circulator’s signatures collected each day
· Complete written and numerical reports on a nightly basis
· Store and track petition pages in a meticulous manner

Qualifications:
Required:
· Works well under pressure and can maintain the necessary hours needed to ensure tasks are completed and the canvass office reaches its goals
· Must be accountable and have a history of excellent attendance on past jobs
· Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and Google Drive
· Valid Driver’s License and consistent access to a dependable vehicle
· Experience managing employees and/or volunteers
Preferred:
· At least (1) election cycle managing an electoral field program or petition circulation project
· Familiar with the initiative process in Arizona and the practice of circulating petitions
· Registered Notary Public in Arizona or in the process of becoming registered
Compensation:
· Starting salary of $1,200 per week with an increase to $1,300 per week once a general understanding and ability to perform the job has been established
· End of project bonus based on the performance of your office and overall program
· Healthcare and Dental plan available after 90 days
· Reimbursement of $0.67 per mile driven on the job
