Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance/Housekeeper will represent the Old Colony Y in a positive manner, resulting in friendly, convenient and courteous service resulting in excellence in service for all members, clients, volunteers, and fellow employees. Through the efforts of the Maintenance/ Cleaner, the East Bridgewater Family Y will receive professional, safe care in a well-maintained and friendly environment.
JOB FUNCTION
- Contribute to a positive work environment by illustrating pride in my job, enthusiasm and cooperation with co-workers.
- Accomplish daily maintenance and improvements relative to member service and comfort, safety and mechanical efficiency.
- Conduct preventative maintenance.
- Assist in mechanical, chemical and cleanliness of the indoor and outdoor pools.
- Maintain current supply inventory and initiate necessary purchases through proper procedures.
- Achieve the highest level of cleanliness by cleaning and/or inspecting areas I am responsible for. Immediately address all housekeeping issues (regardless of department and division) with appropriate personnel. Ensure action is taken to immediately resolve all housekeeping issues, including parking lot
and grounds.
- Provide friendly, courteous service to all members, clients and volunteers of the Y.
- High School graduate
CLOSING STATEMENT
To ensure the overall operations of the Y and support teamwork, I will accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
